Important Engineering Notice

The engineering tools, mathematical formulas, calculators, and design references hosted on Engivon are provided solely for educational, research, exploratory, and preliminary engineering sizing purposes. They do not constitute formal engineering design approval, professional consulting advice, or certified engineering sign-off.

1. Not a Substitute for Professional Judgment

Mechanical systems and structural components operate in complex environments subjected to multi-axial stresses, dynamic shock, cyclical fatigue, thermal expansions, corrosion, manufacturing tolerances, and assembly variations.

No automated online calculator can account for every environmental condition or application-specific edge case. Engineering practitioners must apply independent engineering judgment, incorporate appropriate design safety factors (typically n = 1.5 to 4.0+ depending on risk and code requirements), and verify all calculations under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE / Chartered Engineer).

2. Standards Revisions & Code Compliance

Where tools reference published international standards (such as ISO 281, DIN 6885-1, ISO 773, ASME B1.5, ISO 2904, ISO 68-1, or API 684), they reflect specific documented equations and standard editions.

Standards are periodically revised by standard-setting organizations. Users are responsible for confirming that the specific equations, tolerances, and design factors match the exact edition and regulatory jurisdiction applicable to their project.

3. User Responsibility & Verification

By using this website, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that you assume full responsibility for validating all numerical results, input units, material property coefficients, and physical parameters before incorporating them into any physical component, machinery, vehicle, tooling, or structural assembly.

Feedback & Discrepancy Reporting

If you detect an equation discrepancy, typo, or standard mismatch, please notify us immediately.
